A couple (well, many…….. many…..) of years ago, my family and I lived in Australia, and I distinctly remember devouring Four’N Twenty meat pies on a regular basis. Contrary to how pies are normally eaten, we, being the rice-eating Pinoys that we were, would enjoy all that steaming hot gravy, and all that lean meat, with every spoonful of fluffy white rice and ketchup!
Sure, rice MAY BE a bit outrageous for some people, so we decided to serve it with really creamy mashed potatoes instead! And to make it extra special, we puffed our pastry, exactly how meat pies should be like!

Best served with mash, or if you’re feeling adventurous, go ahead and eat it with rice and ketchup! 😀
