The sun’s shining so bright today, so I think it’s just proper to post something appropriate to the weather π I know I’m not the only one missing the sea β€

TRP Cake Studio | Baby Cakes | Rock-a-bye, baby!
Like I said last week, here’s a nursery rhyme inspired cake! And yes, the baby is hanging on a tree β€
When my client requested for a nursery rhyme cake, the first thing that came into my mind was a cow jumping over a moon. But then, she wanted specifically, Rock-a-bye, baby theme, and I LOVE that she said she wanted something for a baby girl, but not pink!
So there, no pink, but I tried to make it as girly as I possibly could. Well, I guess without pink, I had to focus on making it adorable π
And yes, I couldn’t stop at a baby on a cradle, so to add more life, I put these curious little critters to entertain the little baby! After all, it’s kinda boring when you’re hanging up on a tree.
So there π This, I think stands as one of my favourites because it’s so simple β€
Next week, I think we’ll rest from tree cakes. I’m still thinking of what to post, but I have a feeling, Imma choose something bippity boppity boo. π
’til next week!
Love,
Lora
TRP Cake Studio | Cake Sets | Mermaid Chic
Can’t believe I forgot to post something last Friday, so here’s something to catch up to what I missed π
This chic mermaid-inspired set was again for Dreamscapes by Jac Lee Hao! I really loved how bolder colours were used instead of pastel colours usually requested for little girls. π
Diana, my client, requested the sea urchin to be on the cake, and since the theme is still mermaid-inspired, we did scales for the bottom tier π
And what would be under the sea be without the colourful starfishies slowly crawling all over the sand?
And perhaps mermaid tails peeping above the water? π
TRP Cake Studio | Anniversary Cakes | A Bloody Batman Valentine Cake
Well, this is certainly a unique concept for Valentines. As much as I’d like to post lovey dovey hearts for Valentines, I’d have to stick to this set! After all, we’re always after originality! π
And if you’re wondering what inspired this cake, watch this:
TRP Cake Studio | Cake Set | A Sunny Day in the Woodlands
It’s generally difficult to decorate a cake when you’re given a vague theme. A “sunshine” cake could also get as generic as it gets, but when our clients allow us to let our imagination run wild, we really enjoy making up stories, and infusing them with details as we think them up. This way, not only are our clients surprised when they finally see the cake, we end up going on a journey too.Β And for this “Sunshine” themed set, we took a leisurely stroll in the woods and found all these adorable animals enjoying a golden afternoon π
This set came with a two-tier cake, a couple of our delicious puffins (cream-filled puffed pastries) with yellow and orange sprinkles, and mini cupcakes with 2D suns π
TRP Cake Studio | Baptism Cake | Reaching for the Stars (and the Moon and other planets)
Sabrina Fairchild: I might as well be reaching for the moon.
Baron St. Fontanel: The moon?
Baron St. Fontanel:Β [laughs] Oh, you young people! You are so old-fashioned. Have you not heard? We are building rockets to reach the moon!
-Sabrina (1954)
The last time we had a space cake, I really wanted to put aliens, but my client would rather not. But when my high school batch mate sent me her invitation, there were aliens, so YAY! β€
TRP Cake Studio | Birthday Cake | Gian and His Big Black Pair o’ Chucks
Okay, so this cake’s terribly out-dated, but still posting it because it deserves to be up here!
The initial idea of this cake was to have all things Gian, from black chucks, black rims, a football, and a “G” in blacks and whites. After consulting Julius how consolidate all that(since he also knew Gian), he quickly sketched a big Chuck-ed, black-rimmed and football-ified miniature of our celebrant, and then, tah-dah!
Thanks to my beautiful and very creative friend, Danika of Hello-Rio.com,Β for giving us the privilege of doing Gian’s birthday cake! π And since Gian’s office is almost right next to our studio, I must say, this has got to be the easiest delivery I’ve done!! π
In fact, it was so easy, I was able to document it! Check out the video of Gian’s surprise!
